About Us

David Borza was raised in a family where hospitality and construction were simply part of everyday life. With parents who owned both restaurants and a construction company, he learned early that true luxury is not only about what you build — it’s about how people feel when they walk through the door. That belief remains the foundation of his work today.

Before finishing high school, David had already stepped into management within a corporate hotel. After graduation he moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, serving as Director of Catering and refining the organizational discipline and client-first mindset that now shape every Silver King project.

David’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to open a commercial sign company, where he designed and fabricated architectural signage and developed custom branding for businesses. The experience sharpened his eye for detail and strengthened his understanding of how design influences experience.

In 2002, David became a managing partner in a large restaurant chain, relocating to the Dallas area. He helped operate a training location for new franchisees and later worked closely with the corporate office. While invaluable, the role ultimately confirmed his desire to return to a more personal, relationship-driven way of doing business.

When his family relocated to Florida, David followed, and soon after felt drawn back to construction. Beginning with hurricane shutter installation, he expanded into broader residential services and quickly earned opportunities to work on homes in Boca Grande. It was there, among exceptional properties and discerning clients, that his passion for high-end custom homes fully took hold.

Not long after, he joined Safety Harbor Builders, working alongside its owner, David Benner. Over 13 years the two built more than homes—they built trust, a shared philosophy, and a vision for the future. Together they discussed a thoughtful transition that would eventually place David Borza at the helm.

Tragically, David Benner passed away before those plans could be completed. In the time that followed, David reflected deeply on the responsibility he felt to the clients he served, the standards he believed in, and the legacy of craftsmanship he had helped uphold. He wanted to be sure that where he continued his career that those principles would endure.  From that reflection came a clear path forward.

Silver King Custom Homes was founded on those principles: personal service, uncompromising quality, and homes built to stand for generations.
